New Delhi: The Toyota Innova HyCross was first launched in India in late 2022. Now, nearly four years later, the company is preparing to introduce its facelifted model. According to reports, the new Innova HyCross Facelift could be launched on November 26, 2026.
This time, the MPV is expected to see some changes, from its exterior to its cabin. Furthermore, the company may also offer the option of an E85 flex-fuel hybrid engine. The expected ex-showroom price of the new Innova HyCross is expected to be between ₹20 lakh and ₹33 lakh. However, Toyota has not yet officially announced the launch date, pricing, or new features.
Test models of the new Innova HyCross have been spotted on the roads under heavy camouflage since July 2026. Based on these images, it's believed that the front of the car will see the most changes. It could feature a larger, wider grille inspired by the Toyota Hilux. Newly designed full-LED headlights and dynamic turn indicators are also expected. Additionally, the company may also change the design of the alloy wheels. Depending on the variant, alloy wheels up to 18 inches are available. However, the car's existing body design is likely to remain. This means it will not be a completely new vehicle, but rather an updated version of the existing model.
The interior of the new Innova HyCross is also expected to see some significant changes. Currently, it features a 10.1-inch floating touchscreen system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The facelifted model could replace it with a larger 12.3-inch screen, likely similar in size to the display found on the new Hilux. The Strong Hybrid variant is also expected to feature a 12.3-inch digital driver display, which will display information related to the hybrid system. The petrol variant is expected to feature a 7-inch multi-information screen with analog meters. Furthermore, ADAS features and connected car technology could also be improved.
The new Innova HyCross is expected to continue with its existing engine options. Its 2.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 171 bhp and 204 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT gearbox. The 2.0-liter strong hybrid version combines the petrol engine with an electric motor and an e-CVT transmission, producing a combined power output of 181 bhp. The ARAI-certified mileage of this hybrid model is 23.24 kmpl.
One of the most interesting possibilities for this facelift is an E85 flex-fuel version. Toyota already showcased a prototype a few years ago, designed to run on E85 fuel. Now, it's expected that the company may introduce this technology in the new Innova HyCross model. However, it's unclear whether this will be a separate variant or will come with the facelift. E85 fuel was introduced in India in June 2026. Its price was reportedly around ₹20 per liter less than regular petrol. Around this time, Maruti Suzuki introduced the WagonR Flex Fuel as the country's first E85 passenger car.
