Toyota Ends 2025 On A High, Reports Highest-ever Sales Volume

Mumbai: The year 2025 has proved to be stellar period for Toyota Kirloskar Motor. The automobile giant ended the calendar year 2025 on a high, registering total sales of 3,88,801 units, its highest annual volume to date. 

This volume represents a whopping 19 per cent increase over 2024, when the company registered sales of 3,26,329 units.

How did Toyota perform?

Domestic sales accounted for the bulk of Toyota’s sales volumes during the year 2025. The company sold 3,51,580 units in the Indian market in the year 2025, a year-on-year increase of 17 per cent. The company’s exports stood at 37,221 units, recording a 42 per cent increase compared to the previous calendar year. 

Even as Toyota’s exports remained a smaller share of overall volumes, the higher growth rate contributed to the year-end total for the automobile giant.

Toyota also registered a strong performance in the month of December with total sales for the last month of 2025 at 39,333 units, compared to 29,529 units in December 2024. This translates into a year-on-year growth of 33 per cent. 

Of this sales volume, domestic sales accounted for 34,157 units, while exports stood at 5,176. Domestic volumes for the month grew by 37 per cent, while exports saw a jump of 12 per cent.

Which models drove volumes in 2025?

The total volume of sales by Toyota in 2025 was boosted and driven by demand across multiple segments. The Innova Hycross and Fortuner remained key drivers of sales volume. 

On the oter hand, popular Toyota models such as the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Urban Cruiser Taisor and Glanza contributed to the impressive sales volume in the compact and mid-size categories.
