Everybody has diverse taste in music; some people like loud rap music, while others can choose a calming, mellow piece. Something that will grab your attention on this note is that certain music has been outlawed in a certain area, though not completely.

Russian republic's crazy case

Recently, the Russian Republic of Chechnya declared that beats that were too rapid or too slow were prohibited. The Chechen Ministry of Culture declared in an official statement in April that as of now, all musical, vocal, and choreographic works must adhere to the speed of 80 to 116 beats per minute.

Here's the case

Bassist Adam Neely, who is located in New York City, discussed the choice and voiced his opinions online in a video he posted. He remarked, that this is probably just a cunning method to make sure that foreign music like House and Techno is not allowed but Lezginka (a Russian folk dance) is permissible (which is crazily fast, but whose half time tempo falls within this window). As his video gained popularity on YouTube and Instagram, more music enthusiasts commented on it. One person on the internet said, that bananassing music at all is completely insane, while another criticized the government's actions, asking people to understand that this rule isnt just foolish.

Strange case in hand

Some even speculated that this change might force artists to redo their work in order to bring it within the acceptable bounds. It is time to rewrite every song to fit into tempo ranges with the craziest tied notes imaginable, they wrote, and make a mint doing it. "Before you render your mix, gotta make sure you are chechen-compatible " was another comment.
